What’s the First Step?

The first step will be to schedule a consultation with a Certified Acne Expert (this appointment is about 1.5 hours long). At this visit, we will go over your medical history, skin care routine, perform a skin analysis, assess your skin tolerance and your type of acne, and test your skin for sensitivities.

Acne takes 90 days to form. It will take time to clear. We will be with you throughout the process. We are proud to have a Certified Acne Expert in a program that has a greater than 90% success rate!

What happens at my first visit?

You will be educated on your type of acne, the anatomy of the skin, pore-clogging ingredients, medications affecting acne, lifestyle adjustments, diet, and makeup.

You will be given detailed instructions for your customized home care products. The products have potent ingredients and are tailored just for you. A packet of information about diet, medications, and other resources will go home with you to refer to.

Before photos are taken. These are to track your progress. We never share your pictures without your consent.

As an Acne Program participant, you will be expected to receive a professional treatment bi-weekly until … graduation!

How Often Do I Need to Come In?

In the beginning, you will be coming in bi-weekly for treatments. At Salon Synergy, we take a holistic approach on healing the skin. Nothing is too aggressive. The treatments include a mild chemical peel, professional extractions, LED light therapy to reduce the inflammation, hyperpigmentation, and redness. For inflamed acne patients, high frequency will be used in order to kill the acne bacteria.

Do I Have to Buy the Products?

Yes, this is part of our program. There are many brands on the market with pore-clogging ingredients, and we can’t control the changes and reformulations in them. To ensure you have clear skin, we highly recommend only using our Face Reality products that are designed to coincide with the program exclusively.

How Soon Will I Be Clear?

On average, clients committed to our acne treatment program have significantly visible results within 15-20 weeks (individual results may vary), and often initial results are achieved within 8-10 weeks. Your dedication to your individualized home care plan, along with your bi-weekly treatments, are important in achieving a goal of obtaining clear skin. Remember: acne is a skin disorder, and it can be managed and controlled, but not cured.
